Following the world premiere of local composer Jenny Jackson’s exciting new work for viola and orchestra, ‘Limb’, during the Classical Sheffield Festival weekend in March, a repeat performance has already taken place. Soloist Maria do Vale Antunes, a Masters student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, performed the work there as part of her final performance, and this time included the additional theatrical elements suggested in the score which were impractical in the limited space in Sheffield Cathedral.
