Something completely different! An entirely new venture for Hallam Sinfonia was this ‘rock orchestra experience’ which took place at Sheffield City Hall on 18th February.
Featuring four rock vocalists from the ‘We Will Rock You’ musical, and a five piece rock band, this was a rousing evening of Queen’s greatest hits, complete with audience participation. And welcome exposure for the orchestra, with a capacity audience in the hall.
The event is currently touring not just the country but the world – last week Japan, this week Sheffield! We are thrilled to have been invited to provide the orchestra for the Sheffield event, especially having discovered that other venues have involved orchestras such as the Halle and the London Philharmonic.
